In addition to the standard range of electric slip rings, we offer a range of electric slip rings specifically designed for special applications. These solutions are primarily engineered for full electric machines, for firefighting equipment, for the steel industry, and for use in hazardous environments requiring ATEX certification. They are typically developed in co-design with the customer to meet every technical requirement.
Electric slip rings for electric machines. They are designed for full electric machinery, capable of handling power signals up to 560A (10 minutes at maximum power followed by a 60-minute cooldown cycle at 20% of the available power). They can be configured with digital CANbus signals and offer protection ratings up to IP66.
Electric slip rings for firefighting machines. They are specifically designed for fire fighting applications, featuring a central through hole of up to 5” to accommodate the water hose. They can be configured to carry both power signals and CANbus digital signals. To manage internal condensation, they are equipped with a heating and ventilation system, offering protection up to IP54
Electric slip rings for the steel industry. They are the biggest electrical components, capable of accommodating up to 160 contacts. They can be configured to transmit power signals up to 65 Amps, as well as digital signals such as CANbus and Ethernet. They offer protection ratings up to IP54
ATEX electric slip rings for use in explosive or fire-risk environments. They are designed for workplaces where there is a risk of explosion or fire. They are certified according to the designation: Ex II 2 G Ex d IIC T4 Gb. The configuration includes: 8 power contacts + shielding + 4 CANbus contacts. They feature an IP67 protection rating, making them highly resistant to dust and water entrance.
